    Western Illinois University mid-90's
Freshmen year dominated by Keystone Ice, Ice House and Red Dog.
Sophomore year my buddy and I started a Friday afternoon tradition of picking up,something different every week. The beginning of ticking...

The binge material then was either Beast Light or the cheap bottled cases of Rhinelander.

    When: 2005-09
    Where: Just outside Philadelphia
What: Natty Boh was the primary lower-tier favorite. When my roommate and I discovered Golden Monkey our junior year, that became the craft selection if we wanted to start of the evening off with a stronger brew.

UVA (93-97)... (Milwaukees) Beast was king: Beast, Beast Lite, and Beast Ice. Beast Ice was 5$ a 24 pack so you know it was quality.

For some reason I recall a party where we had a bathtub full of Magnum 44 (not the good kind, the OLD kind) and Olde English cans... we must have been broker than usual that week.

As I grew in years at the University, when there was no beer to be found, my drink of choice was a Gentleman's Screwdriver: Bowman's Folly vodka and California Style Sunny Delight.

I didn't go to college I spent 25 years in the USAF.
I can remember while living in the dorms spending 4.88 on 30 paks of busch beer. This is going back to the early 80's down at Eglin Fl.
I worked second shift back then on F15's, and on Friday nights we would pass the hat and get some cases and drink em up with some deer jerky. Fridays there was no mid shift so everyone busted ass to get done early and get out of there. Then we head to Victors in Fort Walton Beach or maybe head out to Destin.
    AHH the good ol days

Indiana University-Bloomington, 1981 - 1985, Old Milwaukee case of cans for $3.99 was the default. Very rarely upgraded to Bud. Sophomore year, when the dorms were REALLY cracking down, the Coors Party Balls made an appearance - they came in a box, we wrapped them like they were presents, and walked them right in the front door of Teter-Rabb. This pic is representative of the look at the time:

There was also one occasion where we got a couple of cases of Leinenkugel's from the friend of a buddy who made the trek to Bloomington from Wisconsin. That was a great couple of hours of beer drinking.

Finally, there was the Wiedemann Fiasco of 1984. Three cases of beer made its way back to Bloomington from Cincinnati after a weekend boondoggle. At $2.99/case (for bottles!!!), we were pretty stoked. After we drank the beer, we learned a valuable life lesson - you get what you pay for.

And we paid for that beer by crapping purple for a week. Definitely NOT good times.

Universtiy of Iowa 2007-2011 : Keystone light, busch light, and rolling rock were staples of my diet those years. If you wanted to take any of those light beers to the next level you could always drop in a shot of Hawkeye vodka.

Michigan State, 2002-2006. If I wasn't chugging Mickeys grenades, a buddy and I would be splitting 30 bombs of Busch Light, sitting on our rooftop hollering at all the pretty girls.

    I fucking miss those days.

Westfield State from '06-'10, I drank more High Life than I care to admit. Once I turned 21 I started occasionally buying Sam's seasonals and stuff. That lead to things like SNPA, Harpoon, Allagash....now I'm here.

I went to Hamilton College in upstate New York the very last few months of the 80s and into the early 90s. Lots of good music (Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden) in those days but no good beer drinking was done by us while at school. Old Milwaukee (Old Swill) was the beer of choice for us. At least I drank Sam Adams at home during the holidays (since my dad was paying). Of course back then I didn't give a shit what I drank as long as it did its job.

PSU. Kegs of Beast, 40's of Old German (love the label) and plenty more 40's of the malt liquor variety. On my 21st, I slipped on a sheet of ice after many drinks and went tumbling into a parked car, promptly setting off its alarm. Ah, the memories.

Haha good lord, Spyro Gyra! But yeah, it was a great campus. I was there at the tail end of "drag couches out to the quad, fill a little kiddie pool with beer and relax" days. Somehow we could do that and still get a great education. Oh, well.

You just graduated college last year? No offense, but if that's you in your avatar pic, you kind of look like a shirtless Henry Hill at the very end of Goodfellas.

Lots and lots of Busch, Natty, and Bud Light. The only good thing about it was aluminum scrap prices were high enough that we could fill the back of the truck about every 3-4 weeks and get enough money to go directly across the street and buy a keg of more shitty beer.
