Hanover College, mid 2000s. For me, the regular drinking options were Guinness, Newcastle or Stella - those were always in my fridge on party nights in the fraternity house. For almost everyone else in the house, the weapon of choice was a rack of Busch Light or Natty Light. Compared to that, I was drinking like a king.

Now, when I was just having one or two beers by myself or with the two or three other fraternity brothers who liked drinking better than BMC stuff, then I would break out nicer bottle of whatever I brought from the bottle shops back at home when I visited during school holidays.

In the early 80's at Penn State I was drinking Genny Cream Ale, and then moved to Moosehead. I'd never drink the lite beers, and I sure wish we had the current micro brews available back then. Canadian beer was the best we got at that time.

College in the mid-1990s in upstate NY - mostly Piels, Molson Ice, and Labatt Ice (it was the era of ice beers). Molson and Labatt products (only bottles were available at the time) were only marginally more expensive than Piels and cheaper than some of the American macro options.

I used to dome Bigfoot's from the bottle back in the day. 1996-2000 at USF (University of San Francisco), so they came in 6ers. Also was partial to SNPA and when I was low on funds, Rolling Rock.
I had a door knocked that was a string with all my different bottle caps strung through it.

Graduated from Kutztown University (In Pennsylvania) in 2013. I was all about Lionshead, PBR, and Rolling Rock. Yuengling was really popular there, as it is everywhere in PA. Not really a big fan though.

Still in college. Most of my beer drinking is cheap craft. Boulevard Sierra Nevada and Sam Adams beers are mainstays in my beer fridge and have been since my freshman year.

Western Michigan University in the mid-late 90s. Started off with Labatt, Molson, and Mickey's. Luckily, Bell's was readily available throughout K-zoo, and I became a quick convert after my first Oberon at a high class kegger (my buddies got it on the cheap around Halloween). They still made 22s at that point, and my go-to was the Amber Ale when I had some extra cash.

Study abroad in Germany solidified a love of Hefeweizens, dunkels, and well crafted pilsners.

Drank coors light, bud, bud light, and miller lite (you know, the usual shit), with some yuengling when you wanted to "class" it up. I remember playing landmines a lot but exclusively with Bud Select for some reason.
