Hey all, Any fellow BAs familiar with College Station distro? Specifically special releases... We get a lot of everyone's year rounders (GI, Founders, Clown Shoes etc. in addition to the Texas brews) but I am unaware of any really good special/limited/seasonal releases we get that aren't Saint Arnolds, Karbach, DE, or something else from Texas. I know that Spec's/HEB likely get some things but I always seem to miss them. Thanks in advance for the info! I would like to get into the trading game and am trying to find things around here to do so (I would rather not spend money on gas travelling to Houston or Austin).
My brother just graduated from A&M and not much gets down there as far as special releases in general. If I were you, I'd try to time a few trips to Jester King so that you can buy an entire case of beer.
I'm in College Station. We don't get many limited releases, if any. Once in awhile Specs will get a case of something limited and your chances of getting said beer is pretty low as they sometimes don't even put it on the shelf, they hold it for their "regulars".
Our distributors are just about as garbage. They've had Southern Tier sitting in the warehouse since they first arrived to Texas. Did they distribute it to the stores in town? No, it's still there.
Well thats a bummer to hear. Does anyone know a way that we can get information on releases to the College Station area if and when they do make there way here? On Specs: that sucks, if im not a "regular" I dont know what is as I go at least weekly and just check out supply and talk to the guys back there and I have asked specifically about special releases and have essentially been told it wont happen.

The HEB at 6 and 40 is stocked. Found Bomb, Belt, Velvet Merkin, and other limited there. But you must be in the minority in that town. If it's not served at The Chicken, it's not worth drinking?! Now gimme mah pitcher of Miller Laght and my dominos. I'm gonna spill this bad beer all over mah dress overalls. I'm a fightin farmer, ya know! My maroon pickup is parked in between those other maroon pickups. Hell, I ain't even got into A&M yet, I'm a 3rd year senior at Blinn! Just kidding, hope you find your brew, but check out that HEB for sure. .
