Hey fellas, I'm in the state until Monday with a couple of my buddies on vacation just hopping around from snowboarding to exploring the area. We're from New Jersey and don't know the area quite well so I figured I'd post this up and see if anyone could throw me places to go. We'll be based out of Keystone for majority of the time and we'll be in Breck as well as Aspen. Any good breweries would obviously be appreciated as I plan to buy some good stuff and send it back home as well! Cheers! Mike
Since you're in the hills, try doing a search for some prior threads on the resort areas, e.g, Vail, Keystone, Breck, Glenwood Springs (near-ish to Aspen), etc. where you might be hanging out. You'll find some advice. One place that might be worth checking out in Frisco (near-ish to Breck) is a new joint named Outer Range. I had a decent NE-style IPA from them recently and would be curious to see how their other beers stack up.
Broken Compass brewery in Breck--outskirts. Prosit (used to be called Prost) German beer and sausage in Frisco. Dillon Dam brewery in Dillon. Pug Ryans in Dillon. For liquor stores: Along I-70 is Molly's (I-70 and Harlan) and Applejacks (I-70 and Youngfield). Both in Denver Metro. And drink lots of water!
Basecamp Liquor in Frisco is a solid liquor store, lots of good CO distribution and out of state stuff. Has Casey often as well, and is right next to the Outer Range. Lots of beers to recommend what do you guys prefer?
My Favorite spots in Breckenridge (no particular order): Broken Compass Apres Libations Canteen Taphouse Rita's Breckenridge Taphouse? (I think it used be called something different) Obviously there is Breckenridge Brewing and there is a C.B. Potts on Main Street too. You could always go on the Breckenridge Distillery tour too. Free booze and its pretty short (I think like a half hour). If you stay close to Main street everything in Breck is easily walkable. If not, there is Uber there too. Have fun!
So pretty much anything haha... if you search other threads these seem to be a lot of the recommendations but there are tons more really. Can't go wrong with a lot of our offerings. If your looking for NE haze, Odd13 is probably your best bet for non-brewery only beers. Odd13, Eddyline, La Cumbre, Casey, Pipeworks, Melvin, Odells
Thanks fellas. We're taking a break from riding today and heading to Denver. Gonna go check out ratio beerworks. We'll be heading to breck another day and aspen the last couple days.
Exactly haha I'm honestly open for anything that is worth while as far as tasting. I'm absolutely in to NE-style beers due to where I'm from and how big of a scene it is in the tri-state (hard not to when everyone is making such amazing brews). I appreciate the help, I'm gonna look around for odd13 as well.
So we went to ratio and our mutual friend. From ratio my favorite beer was Rented World. From Our Mutual Friend my favorite was definitely inner light. Wicket wit was good as well.
