My friend will be flying out to Minnesota from Denver at the end of the month to join us for Darkness Day. I am looking for some thoughts on specific beers he might look for to bring for the bottle share. It doesn't have to be the latest greatest, most hyped. Not looking for any huge whales or stuff that means waiting in lines, we just want to try beer we cant get here. So just really good, solid beers that would be out of our distro, be it cans, bottles, crowlers, growlers, etc as long as he can pack it to get it here. And if anyone knows a shop in Denver with a reasonable chance of landing Casey stuff that would be great too, as my stock from our trip out there last year is running low Lets hear those ideas please!
If your friend goes shopping during GABF week, they should come across plenty of good beer. As an out of towner who travels to CO for work, I’ve had success snagging Casey at Mr. B’s, Small Batch, and if they can head out of the city, Basecamp in Frisco.
Casey should be easy to find. There a ton of other options, like Loveland Aleworks bottles or Horse and Dragon (never had either, but they seem popular and won't be available in Minny). There's also Copper Kettle and Diebolt bottles out there that are good, and more talked about stuff like Funkwerks and Weldwerks.
Any of TRVE's canned stuff. Crowler of Comrade's Superpower IPA. Baere's Saison. Crowler of any of Bierstadt's offerings.
