Well I can tell you that it smells fantastic! Not sure about the taste...since I dropped my case while taking it out of the car  By some miracle, only 1 bottle broke. I still don't know know how only 1 breaks, but I'll take it. I did have a friend crack one open tonight, he said the yeast has faded dramatically and it's much richer after 2 years. Sounds promising.

Man, lame. Thank god only 1 man down. I just walked in after an indoor soccer game and a malty 9.5% sounds nice... but not 22 oz of it. I too will report back. Anyone go late and know if GD finished it all off tonight? I got there at like 5:06 and there were a few dudes for sure!

The guy I talked to when I picked up said they had 5 pallets to sell, and it sounded like they were down to the last pallet and it was about half gone...so maybe half a pallet left? Sounds like it went fast, and a very cool thing for GD to do.

This does sound promising. Since I'm not Belgian fan, the Belgian Yeti was my least favorite by a large margin, though I still couldn't say I disliked it exactly. And the Heaven Hill aged BY they had a couple anniversary parties ago was stunning, though the barrel obliterated the Belgian-ness of it.

If that Belgian yeast has let up some, a case at that price point just might be worth a trip down there.

I got my case Wednesday and cracked open a bottle that night. I have to say its very good in my opinion. I've never had Belgian yeti that was fresh though for comparison. The Belgian yeast flavor was there but not overpowering. It had notes of chocolate and as it warmed up it took on almost a red wine flavor to it as well. It's definitely not rusty teriyaki sludge!

I wish I had room in my car for more than one case, especially considering the price. I would recommend anyone to pick up a case when they do another release

Can anyone confirm that this did hit stores? The guy I spoke to on the phone at the brewery said they hadn't released it yet...

I can... bought one last week and literally just saw it again at Grapevine (Leetsdale and Monaco) yesterday. Great beer.

I asked a guy at the brewery and he said that "it's in the barrels now, so 6 months".
Then less than a week later it was released at Grapevine, Mile High and Bull and Bush.

So either he's thinking of the next one in line, or he's just clueless.

But I bought a few, only opened one so far and I'm all about it. Especially for $7. I've bought way worse beers for more. I'm looking at you 35k.
