Will be heading out to Colorado this Saturday, heading straight to Eagle-Vail from the airport and staying there throughout most of the week. Planning on hitting up Outer Range on the trip out for cans and then go to Vail Brewing at some point and a probable trip to Beaver Liquors. Just want to see if I'm missing anything in that area? I can't venture too far, maybe 30 min in either direction out of Eagle-Vail/Avon. Thx.

West Vail Liquor and Basecamp Wine & Spirits (adjacent to Outer Range) are the 2 best bottles shops in the area. You'll find some Casey and other treasures that normally fly off the shelves in Denver.

Hit Craftsman in Edwards, you wont be disappointed.

Vail Brewing has a taproom right in the center of the Village with 12+ taps.. Right below their taproom is Bol, who has a nice tap/bottle list and great rotators (I have had Bourbon County, Bruery beers, Avery barrel series, etc.). Mountain Standard (sister restaurant to Sweet Basil) has good food and a good beer selection. They had two Outer Range IPAs on tap a couple weeks ago. There is also Vail Ale House, which is close to West Vail liquor store.

Many thanks for the suggestions! We will certainly be in Vail village at least one day and Edwards as well.

Also, any recommendations for a good stout would be appreciated! Preferably coffee/chocolate, I'm not big into barrel aged stuff.
