I'm traveling for a long road trip to CO with my little ones and I'm looking for some great restaurants with equally great tap lists. If there's a brewery that is great for kids also let me know. My trip is covering most of of CO with the exception of the NW.

Departing from Santa Fe (Via Los Angeles) and staying in Alamosa, Denver, Boulder, Vail and Durango.

Kid friendly restaurants with great tap lists are going to feature a LOT of pizza places, and the Denver area is no exception. Crafty Fox, Blue Pan, Lucky Pie, and Parry's Pizza are all good spots around Denver. Backcountry in Boulder is pretty legendary for their tap list.

For places with food other than pizza, I like Vine Street/Mountain Sun, Bull and Bush, and Cherry Cricket. If you want to step a little "outside of the box" Yak and Yeti makes their own beer and has very solid Indian/Nepalese food if you and your kids are a bit adventurous.

In Vail you should try Mountain Standard.

Avery and Oskar Blues Liquids and Solids are always safe bets for both good food and beer

I’d add The Kitchen in Boulder. But maybe define “great restaurant” a bit further...
The places I’ve listed area little higher on the cuisine (and price) ladder than Spaceman_Jer’s choices, but I get where he’s coming from given your mention of the little ones.

I think the only fine'ish dining (or close) places with legitimately good/numerous beer offerings would be Mercantile and the Kitchen locations. The Pullman in Glenwood Springs might kinda/sorta count, too. Most fine dining spots might have 2-3 good options, but you're not going to get much variety. However, if you're thinking of a more casual experience we have dozens if not hundreds of options. Jer's recommendations will serve you well on that end. Those are literally the exact places I'd recommend myself.

Great recs everyone. "Great" just means really good food and can be in any environment. My kids eat everything so Yak and Yeti sounds interesting. I'm not taking them to any fine dining places though.

If there's a can't miss brewery that's great for kids let me know as well. If they have food it's even better.

    Also,

A massive tap list isn't always the best. If a place has food worth driving for and a small but awesome tap list that's good as well.

@Domingo if we get out to a more fine dining type of establishment it will be in the Boulder area since we have some friends there where we can leave the kids.

Any sour or wild breweries that are kid friendly?

If you're wondering why we're skipping Ft. Collins it's because I used to spend a lot of time there. Might try to sneak a day trip up visit some of my favorites.

In the same neighborhood as Yak and Yeti (which is fantastic) you have Kline’s beer hall. They have a good tap list and food menu and are family friendly.

In terms of pizza places, surprised no mention of Hops & Pie.

Alamos has two breweries now, one is a taproom, the other is a brew pub. The beer at both places is ok. I like to eat tacos or burgers at the ruby slipper. Everything is made fresh and there are about ten taps IIRC.

I’d add Homegrown Tap & Dough on S. Gaylord near Washington Park in Denver.

If you’re in Denver, Bierstadt will be the perfect fit for you. Really good food, tremendous German style lagers and lots of games for the kiddos to play.

Again in Denver....Do yourself a favor and go to Black Project. Best sours/wilds in the state imo and they have board games, a fooseball table and rock’em sock’em robots for the kids. No food there but you can bring in your own. Really good mexican fare next door at Adelitas, across the street is GB’s Fish N Chips and 1 block south is the Dive Inn who have incredibly good chicken.

Quick question on Black Project since it was recently mentioned here...we'll be in Boulder next week and I'm considering a trip into Denver one afternoon. I've had a hard time figuring out what's available at Black Project. I see on their website they had a lottery release a couple months ago, will I be able to get anything interesting to go if we just stop by next week? Anything in particular I should look/wait for?? I can't really find anything on Beermenus, Untappd, etc regarding bottles for purchase or what's available for pours at the moment. Hope I'm not missing something really obvious but please let me know if that's the case!

Is there really any brewery in Denver that isn’t perfect for kids and dogs though?

Fate has good food and a solid guest tap list in addition to their own beers (in Boulder or Lafayette).
