Colorado Springs BCBS Release

    Hey guys,

    Just looking for more information. I am heading to Colorado Springs with my girlfriend for Thanksgiving. I was curious if anyone could share some insight BCBS black friday there. I intend to wait at Coaltrain but I am not sure what time, how layered I need to be, and the atmosphere. I am from Houston originally and people start waiting at 5 am for a 10 am release... Let me know guys and cheers!

    I hope not.... I usually just collect Prairie stuff throughout the year and trade for BCBS, this will be the first year I will attempt to get it on the day of release.

    This might not be your year. From everything I am hearing we may get the shaft from AB on BCBS variants.

    I'll second getting more tweak, but not getting the coffee or vanilla pisses me off.

    I thought "taking care of our home market" was what Proprietor's was for...

    Also if that was the full truth then NO market outside Chicago would get any of the variants, but SURELY other markets outside Chicago are getting Vanilla Rye & Coffee... so they are in some way taking it away from our market and giving it to other areas...

    Yes, this was my first thought. Houston is "allegedly" getting the vanilla variant. This absolutely baffles me, when I think of Colorado I think of Beer Mecca (from a Texan's point of view).. You have the best distribution network in the country. I guess we will have to wait and see. Did Colorado get the variants last year?

    I remember back when beer releases used to be fun. From the mob scene at Wal-Mart playbook to bickering over variants, nothing about this is fun.

    Go pick up some more Tweak, reach out to those in Chicagoland, propose some trades, and hope for some fun extras...

    While I heard the news and was upset we are not getting anything but regular and barleywine I was thrilled to hear Crooked Stave is coming out with 7 beers before the new year. Colorado can't have its cake and eat it too guys....

    It's not just the grumpiness doing the talking - it's them essentially creating the most unfriendly possible environment with the Black Friday release and extra bottles trickling out here and there afterward. Certain markets getting certain beers to build hype, resentment, and ISO envy. It's everything bad about better beer rolled into one single release for a beer that has steadily declined since 2010.
    I'll just chill at home and drink some Liquid Brain since I'll be able to replenish my supply the following week anyway...
