Hahah no doubt! I agree 100% here's my dilemma....what if I want to try those beers. I can't seem to figure out what gets it done for trades. I think I have some quality bottles but apparently not for those types of beers.

You listed Dark Lord. If you're in fact talking about Dark Lord and not one of the BA variants, you should have no problem trading some Crooked Stave beers or Casey for a bottle. KBBS and MD are tough to trade for no matter where you live. That's just the nature of the beast. The only thing I can think of would be to start going to every Casey release and put together a big box of Cuts and Fruit Stands.

I haven't had KBBS or MD, but I am from Iowa, and I don't think you want to pay the price that it takes to get those beers. You have to realize how limited these bottles are. They've only been brewed/bottled a couple times. And yes, Decorah is in the middle of nowhere haha. Blows my mind when I read about people driving from Nebraska for releases.

Would I lose my shit if I got the chance to try them? Probably. But are they THAT much better than barrel aged beers that are available here or much much easier to trade for? I highly doubt it.

This is so right on the money.

I find it funny Crooked Stave can release beers like Batch 50 & NoB Red Wine & Apple Whiskey and they are <100 cases and ridiculously good IMO, but don't get any attention because of all the awesome beer releases surrounding it.

That and all the Avery sours although they have been bigger batches recently, all incredibly awesome.
