Is Colt 45 Blast reviewable on BeerAdvocate? I have seen it for years now, but no one here seems to have reviewed any of the several varieties. I have noticed it has been the subject of trades, however.

    Thanks.

You might have to add it to the directory.

Hi Shroud0fdoom, thanks for that, I have added a few beers to BA over the years. I was reluctant to add this one, as I have seen it for a couple of years at least, and no one has added it to BA. I thought, perhaps, there is a reason that it had not already been added to the site, such as being deemed inappropriate. Colt 45 Blast and the Steel 211 Alloy Series are sometimes referred to as "drank".

Well, the site does not typically list the FMB's from non-brewing companies - Mike's Hard Lemonade, Joose, Smirnoff Ice, Four Loko, Seagram Escapes (although that one is an NAB product), etc.

But they do list a few flavored malt beverages with beer branding marketed by breweries, like Bud Light Lime-a-ritas and the rest of the -Ritas, MC's Redd's Apple and other fruit Ales, etc. Seems Colt 45 Blast would fall into this category, rather than the former one.

But it's up to the site moderators, ultimately.

Thanks for that jesskidden, that was a subtlety that had escaped me.

The base is beer. It's basically their version of a shandy. Add it.
