Heading to Columbia tomorrow to grab a vaccine shot. Any advice for buying some beer to bring home? Where is the best place to go in terms of selection and perhaps finding things a bit harder to find? Trying to find some things not available in St. Louis.

Has anyone tried Broadway Barrel Aged Kindest Regards? Wondering if that’s worth swinging by the brewery for?

I assume you'll be getting your shot through Mizzou which means you'll be at the stadium for your shot. That's pretty central with a few different choices pretty close. Hyvee on Nifong and Macadoodles are both about 3 minutes due south of the stadium on Providence. That Hyvee would probably be the best choice. There is also a Hyvee near 70 and 63 which probably is a good spot. It's not a place I stop often so not sure what the current selection is like.

I'd personally avoid any of the Arena Liquors because they've been known to price gouge on limited stuff. Like $20-25 for regular Bourbon County as an example.

I will say, you probably won't find much that isn't available in St Louis.

As far as BA Kindest Regards, it's decent but won't wow you. I liked it but found it pretty barrel harsh. It's the first beer they bottled if that means anything to you. It's been like 3 months since it was released so you might check to see if they actually still have bottles available before you go.

Thanks for the advice. Actually hitting Hyvee on Broadway. Was burned there a few weeks ago with the Broadway Rye Double IPA...brewed in August. Shame on me for not checking dates. Also grabbed a sized of Bur Oak Stout Heart as I don’t believe that ever made it to St. Louis.

Just FYI, the Hyvee on Broadway has the smallest selection of the 3 Hyvee's

I hit the one on Conley. It was a significantly better selection and there are a few things I haven’t seen distributed here. I really enjoyed the singles selection. I would hit that one again in a heartbeat.

Imma little late to reply but don’t forget about Herman, MO! German town known for wineries but beer too and distilleries.

I would never pass by Herman if going to STL. Just a wonderful town!

Here is the on tap page from Tin Mill Brewery there. Maybe you can get in STL...IDK cuz I moved o WA almost 5 years ago (MO native).

When I was in grad school at Mizzou from '03-'05, all we had was Flat Branch and a bunch of bars selling $1 Stag and Budweiser. Good times.
