Heading to Columbus this weekend and plan on going to Columbus brewing company and elevator. Are there any good beer stores to hit in the area that may have some rare goodies? Also would like some suggestions on any bars that will have a good draft selection
In and near the area where Columbus and Elevator are you'll also find Barley's Alehouse which is a brewpub. Other restaurants and bars within a few miles are Bodega, Surly Girl, Chumley's, Bob's Bar, The Crest, House Beer, Yellowbrick Pizza and plenty of other options. As for stores to visit you'll want to check out Savor Market, Weilands, Andersons on Sawmill Rd, and The Hills Market on Olentangy is pretty good as well. I'm certain you'll find plenty of craft beer to keep you happy in Columbus.
If you dont mind a 15 minute drive from downtown, I recommend The Pint Room in Dublin on the northwest side of Columbus. They have around 100 beers on tap and good pub food.
Definitely has better food in my opinion and always has great beers on tap although it's less of a selection.
Savor Growl on the corner of Weber and Indianola is an awesome store. Growlers, glassware, cold stuff, bombers, etc etc. Pretty much everything in one stop. And shame on you guys for not mentioning Seventh Son Brewing on 4th. Their Humulus Nimbus is really, really solid. If you are looking for Ohio only stuff, check out The Ohio Taproom on the corner of Northwest Blvd and 3rd Ave. They offer Ohio only beers, and also utilize counterpressure filling for growlers. Cheers, Kef
Haven't been to Seventh Son yet but had Humulous Nimbus at Crest, solid beer. Will have to stop by there soon.
