Columbus - Double Crooked Tree

    Anyone need it? I'll be in Cincy/NKY this weekend and it's available at The Party Source. I should be able to bring some back to Columbus as long as I don't get stopped by the ABV Patrol at the Ohio border.

    Nice! I never heard of Oracle bottles turning up anywhere in Central Ohio. May I ask where you found it?

    I assumed we wouldn't be seeing Double Crooked in Ohio since the ABV listed on the beer profile page is 13.6%. In the past has it quitley hit the shelves by way of not listing the ABV on the label? Last year I found Plead the 5th locally even though it was rumored to be above 12%.

    I got both of those at The Beverage Source in Newark. I had 3 bottles of both.

    And that's exactly how DCT got here, to my knowledge, but I saw it last year in Columbus, so...

    It was "over" 12% previously, but was still in Ohio. That's why I said what I said.

    What's up with DCC ABV? I got a 4 pack on Friday and the label shows ABV as 12% now. Previously it was 13.6%.

    Very interesting. The bottles I picked up in KY say 12% on the bottles, but the box they came in says it's 13.6%.

    Savor Market posted that they are filling growlers of Double Crooked starting today at 1 PM. So apprently Dark Horse is going with the "12% ABV" story and sticking to it.

    The Brew Kettle just got a keg of each. We will be tapping Plead the 5th and the Double Crooked Tree very soon...

    Yeah... I know it says Cbus in the title of the post but an FYI is an FYI

    So far only kegs of Double Crooked Tree & Plead the 5th have come into Ohio. No word on bottles yet.
