    I'm heading down to this part of GA in early May from Ohio. Just wondering about recommendations for local/southern beer that isn't available in Ohio. I'm more of a stout/porter/tripel/quad, and sometimes barleywines, person.

    If you are driving you should stop in Atlanta at Green's on Buford Highway. There isn't much of anything in Columbus that I've seen.

    I was just in Columbus this past weekend. There isn't much of anything rare or exciting down there. I went to about 6-7 package stores and the only ones worth anything were the 2 listed on this site. Boo's and Columbus Beverage.

    I haven't been to the Cannon Brewpub in Columbus is a couple of years, but the times I have been there in the past, it was certainly good.

    Tried the Cannon brewpub beers two weeks ago at Classic city beerfest and they were spot on for the style. Worth a visit for sure.
