Right now it's Spiteful IPA by Spiteful Brewing. Not complex or super fancy, but it's put together pretty damn well. Easy to get fresh (for me) and relatively inexpensive so I don't have to think about appreciating it while I'm drinking it. It's about the easiest drinking but still tasty IPA I've found.

My wife has a grocery list pad that the family adds stuff to as needs present themselves during the week. One day while I was bored I wrote "six pack of Jai Alai" on the top of every sheet. She heeded my hint, and if there's less than a sixer in the fridge she buys another one when shopping. Oftentimes when I walk by the fridge, I open it just for the comforting feeling of knowing its in there waiting, even if I don't want a beer........

My go-to comfort beers year round, are Alaskan Amber and Mirror Pond. The first two craft beers I enjoyed. Outside of that, a nice Victory at Sea makes me nice and comfy whenever I can find it. :grinning:

Boddingtons Pub Ale in nitro cans. I'm a hop head by trade but Boddingtons just does it for me every six months or so.

Lagunitas Sucks (Brown Shugga Substitute Ale), Ska Brewing's Modus Hoperandi and the Surly Coffee Bender. The later is especially true, as I love having some Coffee Benders while watching Premier League football early on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Great way of starting the weekend.

I was thinking along the same lines with an ice cold PBR. I don't worry about how old it is, whether it's too cold or too warm, what kind of glass I need. It's cold , I pop the top and drink it, tastes the same today as it did 40 years ago.

As much as I hate to say it, I would have to go with any light, cheap beer. Takes me back to drinking with my friends and all the antics that followed. Some of my best memories were over cheap beer. Now I just buy a tall boy of something crappy and let the memories flow.
