I am coming to Northern Nevada for a Tahoe wedding and will be free on Friday and early Saturday. I'm interested in the must beer stops and am willing to have a beer with anyone who wants to drink with my wife and I. I can also bring some stuff for trade if anyone is interested to meet up.
My favorite brewery in Reno would be IMBIB, and good bars to check out would be Chapel or Public House. If you have time in Tahoe, checking out Alibi, Tahoe Mountain Brewing and FiftyFifty Brewing. Send me a message if your looking for any beers for a possible in-person trade, Cheers!
I just came back from a trip to Reno. IMBIB was highly recommended prior to visiting and they have a huge tap list with one hoppy beer, a fairly broad variety of other beers, and a number of sours. Two of the sours were quite delicious. IMBIB fills crowlers of everything. My favorite breweries from the visit though were The Brewer's Cabinet and Pidgeon Head. Brewer's Cabinet has a fantastic imperial coffee stout, really nice wit and pale ale. Also satisfied the hubby because he really loved their bread pudding (we had it two days in a row). Pidgeon Head has some fantastic beers but I especially liked the peach ginger brett saison and the red rye lager. They fill crowlers here of almost everything. Brasserie St. James was also a fun visit and I really liked both the saison and brett saison. Under the Rose was fairly average across the board, nothing really stood out to bring me back.
