Coming in from Iowa for the Garth Brooks show at Allstate Arena. The concert Saturday night isn't until 10:30 pm, so looking to hit up a brewery or two in the afternoon. Thinking about Half Acre, Revolution, or Pipeworks. Any thoughts as to which of these would be best for a late Saturday afternoon visit? Or another recommendation?

I am staying in Elk Grove, so I'll have to drive in to any of them. Anything close to Elk Grove worth checking out?

Revolution would be great for Saturday lunch (if you're going, you really need to try their food) and is easy to get to via 90/94. Nearby is The Beer Temple, where you can pick up Pipeworks bottles - the brewery isn't open to the public.

Hit up haymarket. They have a couple of super tasty IPAs on tap right now, their speakeasy pilsner is very refreshing (though, the temp just dropped considerably), the defender is a really tasty ris, and they always have a barrel aged offering

Is parking a nightmare at Revolution? Was just browing it via Google Earth. Don't see any parking lots.

Not necessarily a nightmare, just depends on how lucky you are or how far you want to walk. Either way, you'll prolly have to pay at a meter (which can be pricy). Generally, you should be able to find a street spot within a couple minutes walk, if not closer.

I've never had to park more than two blocks away. There is a public lot up the street at Milwaukee and Kedzie (across from Longman & Eagle) where you can park longer-term, but then you're about a half mile from Rev.

Elk grove is five minutes away from Bigbys Pour House in Addison, always great drafts there.
