Hey I moved away from Pittsburgh a few years back and was wondering if there were any new and exciting breweries packaging beer, that I could take back with me to Colorado. As I mentioned, I lived there for quite some time so I have had Victory, Stouts, Weyerbacher, Voodoo and Fat Heads. What I'm looking for is some unique and new ideas. Does East End package? I've heard a lot about Tired Hands but don't believe they package either. Let me know what you think of. Thanks
You can find a few East End beers in big bottles at the brewery or their location in the Strip. We don't see any Tired Hands stuff here. North Country, Rivertowne, White Horse, & Draai Laag also package & are relatively close.
still not a lot of local establishments bottling or canning (consistently) yet...no shortage of places to get a growler filled in town though
I don't think I've ever seen any with exception to a place the The House or Dee's getting some bottles here and there. You won't find it consistently.
I like Lavery, though the mass of their releases don't seem to be showing up much in the Pittsburgh area anymore? I don't know why. Otto's has been showing up a bit in the area also.
Church Brew Works sells some beers in bottles. Tired Hands only sells at their brew pub which is on the other side of the state.
Yeah I wasn't sure if ALLAGASH made it to PGH an I wasn't 100% sure on tired hands. I know it's brewed out by Philly but thought it was worth a shot. Does anyone know if Penn Brewery's Oktoberfest has been released yet or if it will be soon? Thanks for all the info guys. It's been quite some time since I've been back and I guess I'm just spoiled by the distribution out here in CO.
