I just attended the National Homebrewers Conference and received a bottle of Founders Oak Aged Rye IPA (750 mL) and a Bells Beer Michigan Barleywine (22 oz). I was lucky enough to enjoy several samples of these during the conference and am looking to trade these for some fine brews that I have not yet had the opportunity to taste. I am uncertain as to whether these will be released anytime to the public (I know the Founders is on draft at the brewery). Any help in determining a trade value for these would be helpful. Thanks!
They will not be released ever...I was lucky to sample them as well so I sent mine off to homebrewers who were not able to make the conference. Trade value is determined by demand, and I cannot see the demand sky rocketing for these. The barleywine in my opinion was rock solid and the oak rye ipa was good, just not my favorite style, but both of these beers were much better than the over carbed butter bombs that we got last year in Philly.
