Tomorrow (9/24) Community will officially release Legion, a Russian Imperial Stout coming in at 9.9% ABV. First 125 guests will receive a free commemorative glass with purchase of the beer.
Legion will be released in packaged form (4-packs) the following day to select retail accounts.

On Friday 9/25 Community's Taproom will put Rye'ker on tap for the first time ever. A Collaborative Pro-Am entry into GABF, this Rye IPA is hopped with Mosaic and Amarillo (and is absolutely fantastic). Cheers!

It's really an excellent stout. When I get my trade status it will definitely be one of the ones I throw in as extras.

I'm know the collaborative brewer. Had the Rye IPA from his homebrew and was very good.

Legion is legit. Had it at Craft and Growler in Dallas. Can't wait for bottles!

    Just to confirm...Legion is fantastic.

Community brews the best TX IPA and TX RIS in my eyes. Boy when they barrel age Legion...wow.

Agree with Legion, but they need to get with the program and date their Mosaic bottles

Loved Legion. Glad to have a legit RIS brewed locally. Mosaic is the best in state IPA with the possible exception of Yellow Rose which I can't get enough of right now. Also agree they need to date the Mosaic bottles.

Fixed that for you. I agree Mosaic is pretty good, but...

Easily the most frustrating thing I can think of, when it comes to local beers, is the lack of a date on Mosaic bottles. It has kept me from buying entire 6 packs. I'll typically only get it on tap or in a mixed 6. As of late, the newer, branded bottle caps help identify the fresher beers...but that's only temporary :slight_frown:

Yeah that's fair. Not sure what I was thinking considering I just knocked out a 64 oz growler of YR this past weekend and loved every drop of it.

Picked up a pack of Legion at Spec's downtown as a general FYI to any Houstonians. Seemed to be plenty of it
