It has to be a blend of persica and 2012 zwanze in order to make the cut.

why not make this useful and fun. how about a column for a mugshot and a column for artsy. the artsy can even just be every column to the right so if people want to share, there is a place where someone might actually want to see it? i'd definitely like to see a mugshot for each glass though.

I think it'd be cool if this grows into a kind of defining reference on glassware. Having a couple/few shots off to the right seems to make sense, so long as extra rows aren't being added. Having multiple perspectives of a glass can really help.

It wouldn't be a bad idea to add a column for more a "catalog" style shot of each glass. This would give a good reference view of each glass.
I know everyone has a different view on what this list should be. I get the idea of trying to prominently feature the glass in the picture, it's something that I could do better job of. After all we are trying to showcase our collections here, are we not? But I just don't understand having the #properglassware list littered with shots that are basically a glass sitting next to a bottle. I could go down to my cellar and snap off a ton of these pictures. There is no sport in that though, I want to see some panache and pizazz in these shots.

That is all, I've more than exhausted my 2ยข on this subject.

On a side note, I'm putting together a questionnaire regarding a standardized nomenclature for some of the different glass styles that there doesn't appear to be an accepted title. Look for a link to the form in the next couple days.

Seriously, your shots are one of the best things about flipping through this spreadsheet. Fun to see the well thought out photos. Example: the killer Thomas Hardys pic.

Personally I'd love to use this as both as a reference (with catalog shots) as well as entertaining ****. Hope it continues to grow.

Why not put extra links to other pictures in other columns, multiple pictures makes this even better.

Perhaps the one with a bottle of Dave casually lurking in the background? :grimacing:

What would be #properglassware for the Michael Jackson Beer Hunter set? Liquified copy of World Guide To Beer?

Can I get a ruling on names? Neither Schneider nor Schlenkerla appeared to be listed as yet, so I added those. I put Schneider's wheat beer glass under "Schneider Weisse" and not "G. Schneider & Sohn" and likewise my Schlenkerla dopplebock tulip pic went under "Schlenkerla" and not "Heller Trum" or "Aecht Schlenkerla". I can change them if need be. Is there a commonly accepted name for either of these brewers? Please advise!

    Thanks and fun thread.

The majority of my postings I've just copied and pasted from my personal glassware list, where I use the brewery name as listed on BA. Only on breweries that already have a listing using the colloquial name have I not used the full brewery name.

It should be noted that I'm very anal about my list and collection.

OK, thanks. I changed Schneider to reflect what you used and changed my Schlenkerla and Uerige entries to match the BA listing.

I wish there was an admin like the "bad trader" list. I would be happy to send about 10-15 glass pictures to someone if they wanted to load them for me to some site. I don't upload pictures anywhere on the web.
