Just curious here. Would you put the two in the same race. What is everyone's opinions?

You can't really compare the two, but they're both incredible beers.

Ehh.. Both are great beers in their own respect. One's a barrel aged, and the other isn't. The barrel aging is what makes one of them special.

    Can't compare.

If by "race" you are referring to the race for me to buy them, then yes.
Otherwise no. They're both excellent stouts but very different.

Isn't imperial biscotti on the sweeter beer? I haven't had kbs in a long time.

Well, I guess you technically compare anything even if they are different. Which one is better is a rough call. Both are world class beverages.

I just had my first KBS a couple of nights ago, and my last Biscotti Break last night, so let me tell you that the two are about as far away from each other as you can get in the same general style.

KBS is actually Biscotti Break aged in bourbon barrels.

Imperial Biscotti Break while amazing, isn't on the same level as KBS and doesn't have the same depth of flavors IMO.

I would put Imperial Biscotti Break more in the Lagunitas Cappuccino Stout/ST Mokah category and KBS in the GI BCBS/Voodoo Black Magick zone. All are fantastic, just sooooo far different for a comparison of the two.

That's what I thought. I've had KBS (the 2012 on tap this past December) and it was amazing. I've not had Imperial Biscotti, but the gentleman that I buy beer from commented that it was better. I bought two bottles of it but didn't intend to drink it right away. Thought I'd at least satisfy my curiosity by posting the question here.
