Completed BA cake trades

I traded a KBBS plus some american wild ales to ease the $4$ difference. People are trading the DB cake because it had double the limit.

 

I see a lot of people trying to get assassin, db huna, and ba abraxas for the DB cake. I wouldn't do that trade personally and I am not sure how many of those have gotten done.

 

For reference and only because I shared the cake burden with two friends, we have traded one set for kbbs and another set for BVDL, though with that one we had to add a BASC. Not sure if that would feel the same if I had to trade two whole sets by myself

 

It's been hard for me to gauge because most ISO's have been for the set. How about for just one bottle?

 

I'm due to send an Aaron + Atrial + Biere De Miel (wasn't completely necessary, but I had a few and he wanted one) for the Bourbon Cake

 

Gotcha, I appreciate it. That's a little higher than I was realizing these things commanded. Back to the drawing board for me!

Would a bramble go 1:1 or NG peach x2 land one of the variants?

 

I got 2x DB Cake + Bourbon (3 bottles) for the following:

BA Everett

I then sent an Assassin '14 for Tequila 1:1 in a separate trade.

Are the BAMC beers really that good? I enjoyed Mexican Cake but think that Abraxas, Huna, Xocoveza and even Space Ghost (no spices or vanilla) blow it out of the water.

 

@robear, like anything it really comes down to personal opinion/preference. I've enjoyed Cake (reg) and BA Cakes more than I have Huna, Abraxas (reg/BA), or any of the others you listed (and I've had all you listed). For me and what I desire in a spiced beer, it's perfect. Most of my friends prefer Abraxas over Cake etc. I personally like the heat and chili spice in the Cakes and can't appreciate the cinnamon that Abraxas offers or the sweetness that Huna offers. So yea, it's personal preference. The BA Cakes are hands down the best beer I've ever had though.

 

My buddy did Fen Tao + Atrial + La Vie + Bier de Miel for Tequila Cake with an expansion of FW 16 and regular Bomb for BA Big Sound since the guy wanted those and he made up $4$ with extras.

 

That was the perfect way to put that and it makes sense. I definitely appreciate that thoughtful response rather than what we sometimes see here on BA.
