Got through looking at about 25 of the beers, since I didn't feel like clicking throught the slide show anymore. Anyways of those 25, I've had only like 3 and have heard of/seen like maybe only a few others. (I must suck at life lol).

I've only had 20. I think my problem is that I don't really ever buy imports, and there's a lot on this list.

Wow, that is lot! I have had 35, then I have 5 on my closet and maybe I could find approximately 15 more. Still 57 is really hard to reach.

Very traditional list. I wonder why there was so many beers from dupont (5 at least!) and also Schneider (4!). Well, both are good breweries, but still... The only from Scandinavia was Nögne God Jul. I think it is way too little. And as mentioned, only very few from west coast.

    But nice beers for sure.

Ramstein is definitely legit, and the Winter Wheat used to get talked about a lot on BA. It's a damn nice beer. I think a problem may be that the bottled product has gotten scarce in the past few years, or even maybe it has been draught-only (?) lately.

The last bottles I remember enjoying were with a buddy visiting from Seattle, and we got a bunch of east coast stuff for him to check out- the Winter Wheat was the one he kept on going back to over the course of a weekend, until it was gone. That was like 2009 or 2010.

<I'm gonna have to ask the Mid-Atlantic board to see what's up with that beer this year>

Then you should probably stop reading BA as 90 Minute is #26 currently on the Beers of Fame.

It's a quality beer. And when it's the best thing I have time to get at the grocery, I buy it. But it doesn't belong with an absolutely must try beer. Not even in dogfish heads top beers.

Huh??? So where are all of the stouts? This is definitely biased and screwed, granted I have had only 26 of these but I wouldn't consider even half of those "Must Tries". Disappointing.

People keep saying this list is East coast biased, but it's really more specific than that: it's NYC biased. Several breweries in the greater NYC area and north Jersey have multiple beers represented. Outside of that area, US beers tend to be a bit more evenly spread. Also, some breweries have too many representatives, like Schneider Weisse and Dupont.

I'm shocked at the number of lambics here, plus the deserved recognition of Italian crafts. It would've been nice to see at least one Czech beer, as the list is a little too concentrated in Germany and Belgium.

I've had 47 of the beers listed. The only ones I have a real issue with are Cigar City Guava Grove and Newcastle. I find Guava pretty sub-par, and Newcastle has a nasty metallic taste I can't get past.

All-in-all, though, it's great to see a unique list (that's not terrible) from such an unlikely source.

No Bourbon Barrel stuff. No Barleywines that I could see. I do like the addition of Resin on that list. Little Sumpin' Sumpin' and Torpedo are a bit of a surprise. Much better beer from those breweries in my opinion.

I count 30 that I've had, 12 of which I would absolutely recommend trying before dying. The other 18, meh.

31 so far but certainly not a list I'm going to keep up with. My personal list is very different although I might add a few of those to my list.

I am glad you also share my sentiments. Your right, the price point really does hinder, even for me. I often think if I was into this years again when I was more financially stable, I would indeed have a cellar dedicated to this!

I would add "The Black Pearl" by Maui Brewing. Its their coconut porter aged in a rum barrel.

Hell or High Watermelon? If one has no taste buds then I could understand why it made the list!

I suppose a list of beers everyone should try should consist of things that are for the most part unobtainable by the general public (e.g. the BA Top 100 popular beers)?
