Sad, but funny. Reminds me of when Guy Fieri went with Kid Rock to visit Anchorage brewery. They get all whiny and upset when they hear about how bear is made but once the tour guide says "free samples" they go "yes, lets get drunk!"

makes me wanna hug my cat too much. Oh kitty kitty.

You could definitely tell that he actually cared about learning the process and everything that goes into making Guinness, but it was also hilarious. Also, he chugs Guinness, which basically increases his man rating to around 86.47%.

    That was really good!
My brother in law went and did the same tour, but seeing the "proper drinking" of a Guinness was cool.

I'll always love a proper pint of Guinness.

It IS worth visiting. The Gravity Bar with a free pint is amazing, but there's an empty bar a few floors down that is quiet and a great place to enjoy a pint. I don't care what anyone says about Guinness HERE, it is good in Dublin, not watered down. A great experience if you ever are in Dublin.

Guinness in Dublin tasted the same as Guinness in London tasted the same as Guinness in New York tasted the same as Guinness in California. It was a rich, filling meal in a bottle -- I didn't have to eat for days afterward. One of the heaviest beers I've ever tried.

I used to think Guiness was a "heavy" beer too. Those days are long since gone. And Conan is a freaking riot, as always.

Try any stout from Hoppin' Frog, Bell's, Founders, Avery and any other stout in America and then talk to me about the heaviest beers you've ever tried.

Ha! This is great! My favorite part is the reactions of the other patrons in the Gravity Bar.

I can assure you from personal interactions with Conan, that what you see here is his attempt to make a lengthy Discovery Channel How It's Made type of tour entertaining to a general audience. Personally it wasn't just about getting free beer; professionally (comedically) is was just about getting free beer...and being an ass in the process. I would say when the cameras are turned off and he's all serious, but that wouldn't be true either. This man is ALWAYS ON when there are people around and there's any amount of funny that can be extracted. He didn't just apply the work ethic he learned from his dad's example as a distinguished research scientist to his degrees in Literature and History at Harvard....

Also, interesting how color and bubble size alters perception for some.

I agree. He stayed in the hotel that I work at for a few days and he was playing jokes on everyone the whole time. He also sat in the bar and interacted with people all night. Most celebrities that stay wouldnt even think about doing that.

Funny but painful for the tour guide I bet.

Maybe conan would've have been more serious if he was able to drink foreign extra stout instead?
