The variants sold out at about 1045 am. I was about fifteen people behind when they sold out. Oh well, better that the kid got to sleep in. As I understood from their Facebook page they only had 200 bottles of each variant and 72 vertical packs. When we left around 1230 they had a couple of the vertical packs left.

Didn't get a chance to sample the variants on tap, wasn't about to deal with the line forming in the tent 45 minutes before tapping.

Confirmed 200 bottles of each variant even though the Loire Stout label stated just 150 total. Regular was 800.

Definitely a lot less than last year. Variants were 400 each and regular was 2000 bottles in 2015.

I was definitely surprised when I pulled in around 9:10 and it was already at least 60-70 in line.

A couple of people had brought friends as mules to help them max out. We saw a couple of those in the parking lot when we showed up around 1025. When a guy drives off with 24 bottles of variants after vigorously thanking his friends for coming out to help him, well, easy to figure out what happened there.

Some people in line claimed they had a friend who worked for the brewery and that there had been issues with some of the barrels. I didn't bother to follow up on that so take it as you will.

Zero respect for people like that. take what the given allotments are and let more of those behind you enjoy the beer as the brewery had intended.

Guess I severely underestimated the allocations as well as the hype. Did the variants live up to it?
