    It has finally arrived!

For those that don't know or need a refresher this beer is a blend of The Stoic and The Dissident as well as Fred and Adam. All four were brewed at Deschutes’ facility in Bend in March 2010 and were then aged in a variety of wooden barrels (including Rye Whiskey, Cognac, Sherry, Pinot Noir, Bourbon, used American Oak which previously held beer, new American Oak, and new Oregon Oak) for two years.

Looks like bottles will go on-sale May 14th at 11:00am when the Deschutes' Bend and Portland brew pubs open. It will be released in twelve-ounce bottles at around $10 per.

I wonder when the line will start for this one considering a three bottle limit?!? Let the madness begin :grinning:

Isn't this also being distributed? I thought earlier they had said it would Deschutes or HotD limited distribution at least through the PnW? Alan can you chime in?

My interactions with Deschutes reps, through direct discussion and email directly through the brewery indicate it will see very limited distribution. I think the bottle limit at the pubs is for the pubs only at this time, but I would be surprised to see this particular beer reach that height.

I wish we knew more about how it tastes, because that is an interesting blend, and who the hell knows, is it sour? Sweet? Boozy? That's more what I'm interested in.

I am really excited about the 12oz bottles however.

I mis-spoke there, must have confused my dates with the Collage dinner that is going on that night (14 May). Either way, I'm stoked for this release! Hopefully some (slowly) finds its way to my glass on the Emerald Isle...

It will be distributed in small quantities to all of the states Deschutes distributes too. It hit CO late last week and most stores here were doing one per person for $11. I tried one on Friday, whoa does it need some time. :grimacing:

We've got it in a few stores in Seattle with allocation limits from 2-6. Very complex taste which should improve with time.

It definitely is in Seattle at quite a few places. $11/12 oz. bottle. I can tell you with all certainty that it should/needs to age well and it actually is pretty good fresh too. You can taste all 4 beers as well as their barrels for sure though the Dissident is definitely the mainstage on this one.

Was just at the PDX pub and there several cases still stacked up. Plus a framed poster sized artwork similar to the label. That wanted to go home with me, but was off limits.

I'll be in Bend tomorrow, wondering if they still have the Deschutes component beers on tap...?

I was there last weekend and they did not. They did, however, have Abyss and Pinot aged Jubelale.

I checked with the store I order my beer from and this won't even be distributed in Texas. Good thing I have family in California and it was just put in the shelves today at Bevmo

So letspour.com has these for 14.50 a pop. They've got some promo going on right now where if you like them on facebook they give 5 free chances to "spin the bottle" and win some discounts. I got 10 bucks off and grabbed a few other beers and got free shipping...just a good option for those who won't see distribution but can get letspour shipped to them. Good luck in your hunts.
