I've been meaning to try this place out since they opened. Finally got there this weekend - and the beers are outstanding. The pale ale was exquisite - it's along the lines of a Vermont-style pale, and it is just about perfect; no specialty malts mucking it up, just straight up hoppy goodness. Truly one one of the best pale ales I've ever had. Tried 3 other beers - a pumpkin beer that was refreshingly light on the spice and quite nice; a smoked biere de garde that had just the right amount of smoke for my taste; and a coffee beer that must have used very lightly roasted beans because it was not particularly dark, that was ridiculously smooth, slightly sweet, and maybe the best use of coffee in a beer that I've seen. My wife even liked it, and she hates coffee - to my mind, the best possible endorsement of a coffee beer. I have to admit, the beer far exceeded my expectations. For my money, the quality and variety of the every day tap list may well be the best in the area if all of their beers are as well made as the ones I tried. I look forward to hitting this place again when I'm able to sample the entire list. And I would LOVE to see that pale ale make its way into bottles or cans. EDIT: Sorry for the shill-like gushing, but I was extremel
Didn't have any that when I was there in June except the pale; now I'll have to go back. My favorite was the saison, Lealta. Their pulled pork sandwich is delicious too.
Well, it IS a bar, and a crowded one at that! And it's a bonus for me, if my infant daughter cries it's not going to bother anyone because nobody will hear it.
