Ouch, that hurts to look at. All the more reason to support independent craft brewers.

My fear is the day when big brewery lobbyists "persuade" our Congressmen to pass legislation to benefit themselves over new startup breweries or laws that make it impossible for small breweries to stay in business and folding up. Luckily right now we're on a trend in most states making it easier for startup brewing, because its bringing local jobs and tax revenue to the state. Things may change at some point.

This ties into why the Blue Point purchase annoys me (and others). Sure, it's business, bigger companies want all the pie, but man it's a downer.

I only tried Hoptical Illusion and Toasted Lager by Blue Point. Seems like most of their higher production brews are in the 3.5 to 3.8 range which is pretty avg. Blue Point ownership may have done good by cashing out now as they are a mediocre craft brewer and selling now while its on a upswing seems like a good business decision IMO.
