Contamination? Should be dumped? (See Pics)

    I smell a half troll or a person who ran debate team in high school , not positive which yet.

    How do you know it’s “more likely” and just because you had one like that does not count. What sour/funky beers do you enjoy?

    Mostly I use buckets and other plastic fermenters. Definatly have had infections and a good stiff bleach solution will kill it off. 20 minute contact time is used to kill /oxidize E. coli in waste water. Does depends on your effluent to be treated. In beer after a infection I fill the container with the bleach solution seal it and walk away for a couple days. Afterwards drain and rinse several times with hot water.

    This has worked for me for years. With no repeat infections in later batches.

    There is a big difference between sour beer and an infected batch that got randomly contaminated

    Sounds rather arrrbitrary how much pirate beer have you had. Also life expectancy wasnt great in pirate times

    Your correct. Nobody makes beer with randomly inoculated wort. My point is, let it go and see if it is good. White pellicle. Is likely lacto or brett and both make fine beers.
