Contemplating my first full batch drain pour

    Sorry to hear your beer came out that bad, Mike. I think it could be worse. If you were brand new to brewing you might still be stubborn enough to drink it. After 5 years of success, you're allowed to set the bar pretty high. If you aren't enjoying this beer then it's probably time to say goodbye. You can also redeem yourself by making a really good beer next time.

    A few interesting suggestions. While I don't expect this beer to improve appreciably, I've decided to dump only the half keg that I tapped over the weekend and put the full keg aside for a few years or until I need the keg, whichever comes first. If it hasn't morphed into a convincing BarleyWine by then, I've lost nothing.
