I truly have no idea what you are talking about. You are waaay overthinking this. And no amount of your rambling should convince anyone that “new” hop varietals, some of which have been around for decades, are simply gimmicks for untrained palates. At least you posted this horrible opinion in the correct thread this time.

This shouldn't be controversial, but Beer Advocate is not a suitable place for people to continually post (large) excerpts from their rejected undergraduate Sociology thesis.

Naturdays would sellout quickly and be rated over a 4 on untapped if any craft brewery made it.

    It's definitely not the latter.

The forum in general, and this thread in particular are certainly places in which dead horses are regularly beaten.

Who knows though? Perhaps if I keep reading it here, over and over again and at length, I’ll soon only find milkshake IPAs and breakfast stouts on the shelves and will indeed believe we are entering a dark age for beer. If the eschaton can be made immanent, I can certainly deny my own experience of reality in the realm of beer availability!

I liken it to a person standing in a silver mine that has been opened up to reveal copper, gold, platinum, diamonds, rubies, and titanium, who complains that the silver vein isn't quite as rich as it was a few meters back

Dude, serious Jesuit-level kudos! You made me look up both ‘eschaton’ and ‘immanent.’

Arguably the most important and least read political thinker in the 20th century.

I thought you were paraphrasing Robert Anton Wilson. Now I've got to look into this Voegelin fellow

It will probably go on as long as the "Tastes Great vs Less Filling" fight. (oh for the days of fun commercials)
