I was speaking more towards the beer geek crowd. I don't think we're saying different things, the message and focus is simply getting convoluted in this lengthy thread.

There's also no hard and fast definition of who the beer geek crowd is.

    Definitely agree with this.

I'm with @rozzom. Seems like a terrible waste of Optimator! But it also sounds kinda good...

Wow 235 likes. I'm sure the record is higher, but I "liked" it too, had to, good post.

Looks like a fine processed beer product to me :stuck_out_tongue:

sometimes I just have a taste for a grilled cheese made with Kraft American cheese, some Campbell's tomato soup for dipping, and a fine Miller high life to go with.*

I agree. Begrudging anyone for not finishing a beer they don't like is wasted begrudgery. Some folks think that drinking a beer you like is a sin!

Aahhhaa!! The ol' chicken soup out of chicken poup method!!

My last 2 DP's were unfixable. I had a 6 pack IPA from WV that was so old, flat, and unbearable, I'm shocked it wasn't in tin cans. I bought a growler a few months ago. I was probably the 10th person to walk out with it after tapping. I didn't consume it that night, but when I did the next night, it was hard to drink ..the chlorinated flavor was too strong. Apparently, I wasn't the only person to bring that to their attention, and they untapped it after I left that night.

Decades ago, when I was a nightwatchman, another guy who "relieved" me in the morning used to bring a few glass soda bottles w/screw-on/off cap (back before pop came in plastic) which had about 1" of this brownish-colored powder in the bottom.

    "What's that?"

"Sanka instant, Cremora powder and Sweet 'n' Low mixed together in my custom blend. There's a water cooler in the offices' breakroom that dispense hot water, so I make myself a fresh cup of coffee during the shift!"

    "Yeah,
    "fresh coffee" --- OK."

If your post is longer then 2 paragraphs or 1 ginormous run on sentence you should be required to put the TL/DR version at the bottom.

Could you expand on this thought? It seems like you've left some stuff out.

I'll keep trying to entertain y'all.

Besides their sours, Firestone's barrel program has gone downhill since 2014.

Apparently it is controversial to observe that the name of the style New England IPA is a done deal.

My recent bitcoin investment scheme was rated a 3.9 by my customers*. Can I have all your money? I assume yes, since you go for things rated higher than 3.75 and don't care about your personal tastes or the biases inherent in any rating system.

Also, were you the one who said men don't drain pour? Men do whatever their significant other tells them to do. I mean, uhh, whatever we want!!

*Based on a meow from my cat when I explained what the scheme was. I'm damned good at understanding his meows. Probably a 4.17, if there was an Untappd for that.

Many craft beer taboos don't bother at all.

Bottle Flipping (illegal to sell on craigslist) and beer trading (illegal to ship beer overstate lines)- I'm morally OK with both of them. I don't care what someone does with a beer after the buy it. Sell, trade it, chug it, horde it. I just dont GAF.

Truck Chasers- they really want that beer. Who am I to judge how a complete stranger spends their free time.

Mules-That "mule" loves that beer geek (husband, wife, son, Mom,etc) so much they stand around outside on a weekend so that person can get more of a certain beer.

Middle of the day weekday beer releases- I work at a hospital, thus have weird hours. I'm usually free on a Tuesday at 12:00PM to get some cans at Corridor.

What if the brewery offers caryons and coloring sheets and my kid is being hella quiet?
