Beer has always been served in theatres here. Place your order and it is waiting for you at the interval. Very civilised

I’ll translate for you @marquis - he means a cinema, not a theatre

Me, "It's ok honey. I know you hate food shopping. I want to help you out. I will go to the market again."
Me (2 hours later): "Honey, I am so glad you didn't go to the market. The lines are so huge. They figure about another hour until I am done checking out. Love you too."

    Have you ever seen Deadwood?

    The Bible belt is
"He finds two belts: one more eastern that stretches from Florida, (excluding Miami, Tampa and South Florida), through Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky,Georgia, North and South Carolina, and into SouthernVirginia ; and another that concentrated in Texas(excluding El Paso, and South Texas), Arkansas,Louisiana, (excluding ..."

    Amen, brother.

DeCicco's is an upscale chain around here that is known for three things, incredible Italian specialties, excellent assortment of packaged craft beer, and in-store pubs that have super tap lists. I would post a pic of the one I go to (thank god it's not closer lol) in Brewster, but I wouldn't want out of area folks to get jealous.

Here’s my controversial post of the day: If someone can find a drink boring (anything, including water), it says more about the drinker than the drink.

I'll one up this to keep the Indiana flavor up

Bare Hands (Granger, Indiana) is better than both of them. Also, 450 North is insanely overrated, but, they have the best marketing team in the beer game. Every Instagram post of their beers people are trading Tree House, Trill, Foam, etc etc for 450 North. I would like to see their faces after realizing what they just traded for

Stouts need no flavors added other than maybe coffee, bourbon barrel, chocolate and vanilla. Fruited stouts don't do it for me at all.

I don't see the difference between the flavoring additions you list and the ones you didn't.

What really is the difference between adding vanilla to a stout and adding some raspberries?

Especially because modern stouts that people add the flavorings to are way to sweet regardless if they are fruit or chocolate or vanilla.

I've yet to have a fruited stout where I thought, "That beer was better with the fruit added.", but I have had "plain" stouts where I thought, "That coffee/bourbon/chocolate/vanilla REALLY made that stout different and/or better".

Reason? Complementary flavors from the base beer. Don't see many overly fruit-forward base stouts, but you DO see a lot of roasty, charred, and/or chocolaty ones.

This exactly. I simply have not had a fruited stout where the fruit complemented the base beer or added complexity. Normally it just covers up the flavor of the base stout and does it no favors in my opinion. I often find fruited ones much sweeter than ones without. I have a few stouts in the fridge right now that I wish I hadn't bought for these reasons. I'm a slow learner when it comes to beer buying decisions.:flushed:
