    Hello,

I bought the mini refrigerator a while ago, but I haven't bought the temperature controller to change its temperature to 55F. I have a question, will this product work? If yeah, where is the DIY thread so I can install it right?

I have 2013 BCBS bottles sitting in refrigerator since Black Friday so I want those to be in right temp controlled refrigerator.

Works like a champ... Install is about the easiest thing you could possibly do (and I'm the most "unhandy" person on the face of the earth). The instructions that come with the temp controller must be written for Engineers and Rocket Scientists... good thing you don't need them.

As has been mentioned in other threads... put your probe in a bottle filled with water. The water will "mimic" beer and keep the temp of the beer closer to 55.

Is this worth it for just a small $100 fridge?

I'm kinda curious, what would the long term effects be if the fridge stayed closer to 40-45 degrees?

It will age more slowly. Do you have a fridge that is capable of those temps without an external thermostat? Most fridges won't go that high because food is unsafe at those temps.

If it's a wine fridge it will go that high, even higher. I had a wine fridge that I think had a range of like 40-60.

That would make sense and I hope a wine fridge would be capable of cellar temps.

I have a few 3 cu ft mini fridges that I use. The temp setting is a simple 1-7 dial with 1 being the least cool and 7 being the most. I keep a small thermometer in them that they both consistently read around 42 Degrees when kept at 1.

I have a question. I bought the temperature controller last week and installed on my mini Black & Decker refrigerator. Do I need to set the its temperature setting to the lowest at 1?

Also, I placed the sensor in the small "freezer", is that OK to do that?
