Checked the threads, wondering if any new updates on good places to eat/drink. Moat seems to be the recommended favorite.

    thanks

Yeah I like Moat. Comfortable and dependable beer and food. I visit every time I'm in the area. There's always Flatbread which is decent if you got a hankerin' for pizza and loud children ... they've got a handful of local taps.

If you like kicking back with a cigar, the Cigar Emporium place right across the street from Moat is enjoyable (wish they stayed open later), and they have some decent beer. Had Moat's stout last time I was there. Paired well with the cigar.

I've also done the drive to Ebenezer's from North Conway which isn't terrible if you have the time and you're in town for more than a day.

However, I too often feel that I'm missing another spot that I'm unaware of. So I look forward to the responses.

I have family in Conway so I'm up there often.

Moat is the best beer spot in town by far - good food, solid (dirt cheap) beer. Most of the other restaurants/pubs have a couple of local taps like Tuckerman's, MOAT, or Smuttynose, so there aren't too many spots where you can't get a craft beer. (Horsefeathers, Red Parka, Delaney's, Flatbreads, Tuckerman's, etc)

Eb's is not a bad drive at all. You can do it in about 25 minutes from town center if you don't get stuck behind somebody going slow. 30-35 otherwise. Well worth it if you have the extra time.

Moat probably has the best food/beer combo, decent food and good craft beer in the immediate North Conway area. You can't beat them Iron Mike Pale ale tall boys.

The Muddy Moose has decent food and an okay beer selection. Family oriented like Flatbread. READ: Copious amounts of families with loud children.

A little further up the road in Glen is the Red Parka. Respectable selection of local beer on tap. I haven't eaten there and cannot speak to the quality of the food.

Ebenezer's has it's draw and is well worth a visit, not exactly close or far. Down a dirt road, down a dirt road, down another dirt road. Probably easier to get to by snowmobile.

Was up there last week, we had dinner at Red Fox Bar & Grille in Jackson. The food was great, service was excellent and the tap list was small but decent. Had a couple of selections from Moat and Tuckerman's on draft among others. Highly recommended.

Stopping at Moat Mountain is a must--the beer, food and vibe are all solid. Get the sampler and then go with your favorites from there.

I'd also recommend a trip to Ebenezer's if you're in town for more than a day. I've never gotten there from North Conway in less than 30 minutes, but it's a pleasant drive and well worth a visit.

Flatbread has very good pizza and a decent tap selection. You could also head north a bit to the White Mountain Cider Company in Jackson, which has good (slightly more upscale) food and a short but well-selected tap list. If you want more of a trek north, Libby's Bistro in Gorham has some really excellent food, a very nice vibe, and a decent tap list. I wouldn't drive all the way up there for the beer list by any means, but the overall experience is great if you have the time.

PS. I'd also recommend the Tuckerman's Altbier if you haven't had it before. Their pale ale is decent, but really more of a gateway beer in my mind. The altbier, on the other hand, is a really solid beer and pairs especially well with some of the pizzas at the Flatbread.

Yeah, in the dining area no problem.

Moat has solid brews and great food. I find the best tap list to be at Tuckerman's Tavern on 16A. Can't go wrong with the food there, either. Both are kid friendly in the dining areas. The pizza at Flatbread is awesome and they have Switchback on tap (as does Tuckerman's). For bottle shops, Vista Country Store. Go all the way to the back room. And if you buy any Moat beers in bottle/can, don't get them at the brewery, get them at a retail store. I found them to be $1/bottle cheaper.

Moat is good, Ebenezer's is great (if you have the time to get there).
    Ebenezer's is kid-friendly.

Just checked out the beers on Ebenezer's web site. Pretty impressive. And not that far away, especially if you're in North Conway. My place is in Intervale, so it would be a few more minutes.
