Hi guys just the quick one.
Hey guys can I cool down DME solution overnight without ice and when it will be acceptable temperature and the yeast to make a starter?
    Thank you.

Yes, as long as your process is sanitary, this should be no problem.

Thanks, all was preboiled and flask was sanitized with starsan then I added boiling wort to the flask . Put on the top foil sprayed with starsan and left it outside. Planning to add yeast in 12 hours.

    Your procedure sounds good.

That said, I don't know what the weather is like in Japan right now, or what your situation is, but I wouldn't put the starter outside for fear a raccoon or something might get into it. It should come to room temperature or close enough indoors.

By the way, if you're ever in more of a hurry, a quick water bath should also do the trick. Just be careful, it takes a bit longer than you might think to come to equilibrium, but a lot faster than just letting it sit on the counter.

I would also caution pouring boiling liquid into the flask. Assuming it is a glass flask. While I know Erlenmeyer flasks can take some heat, I foresee shattered flasks...

Cheers guys, I’m just very happy that I don’t need to reboil the DME , when I will be back from work I can get the starter going right away.
