Got a 4 day trip to Copenhagen coming up in December and wondered what the best places/beers to be drinking in the city would be and also the prices? I definitely want to try some Mikkeller and To Ol but beyond that I'm a bit lost, any help or tips would be great! Thanks

If you have to ask the price, you can't afford it...

I've said this before: My trick to making Copenhagen prices seem reasonable: Go across the Øresund to Malmö and drink for a while. Then Copenhagen seems like a bargain

Just wanted to get some idea as I always prefer taking currency abroad rather than using card, only reason I was asking!

If you check the website of Taphouse 40cl of a local 7.7% Black IPA (Flying Couch #BlackMaltsMatter) is DKK 55 or just under US$8

Some places may be more or less expensive but that gives you a baseline.

I'm just being a wise-ass. It is best to just ignore me when I'm like that...

That sounds a bit like like stabbing your kid with a sharp pencil to make him think the annual flu jab isn't that bad. A flaw exists somewhere within that logic...

Here is my contribution, Fermentoren really is a must in my opinion. One of my favourite beer bars that I've ever visited :

Here's my beer list and "cheap" trip comments on Copenhagen :

Ugly Duck - Amarillo and Citra IPA
Ugly Duck - Imperial Vanilla Coffee Porter
Thisted - Limfjords Porter (incredible beer for 12 K (£1.20 a bottle) in supermarkets)
    Wiibroe - Porter

These were all bought at Irma supermarket for 12-27 Kr and very good.

    Beer Here - Lupulus
Crooked Moon - Pretty Little Thang
Dry and Bitter/Against the Grain - Just in time (both D and B and above brewery linked to bar Fermentoren (best bar visited in terms of good beer and great ambiance)
    Hornbeer - Charlies Cool Porter
All In Brewing - Big Blind IIPA
    Wiibroe - Porter
    Gamma - Radiation Sickness
    Edge Brewing - Powerplant
    Aecht Schlenka - Rauchbier Urbock
    Anchor - Liberation Ale
    Ghost Brewing - Soft Liquid
    Hornbeer - Top Hop
    Amager - Shadow Pictures
    Herslev - India Dark Ale
Bad Seed - Lazarus Resurrection IPA

Found a few bars which did happy hours with a large beer the price of a small : Taphouse 61 taps with about 10 on happy hour until 6 pm and nice staff. The ones I had were fine http://taphouse.dk/.
Perhaps the best bar for great beer, staff and ambiance was Fermentoren http://www.copenhagenbeer.dk/ølbar/fermentoren with small beers for 30 Kr, large 50 Kr.

While we really liked Warpigs and Mikkeller, we actually preferred Taphaus 61 and Copenhagen Brewpub, all about preferences.
