For all those out there that are concerned about your profile information not being transferred over to your new profile (yet), here is a simple fix for now...

Though you cant log into your profile on the "old" site to get your profile info, but you can type in your username, search for your name/profile, and then copy & paste everything off your old profile onto your new profile under "Information" without having to log in. (problem solved)

    Cheers!
    Jason

It's a good thing that you posted this for other users who did not notice that this was a possibility.

I can't do this for some reason, but may be ale to do a google search and find it. In the meantime, will this be put back on our profiles at some point? I can wait if that is the deal.

Also my question MADhombrewer....if I just wait for everything to finish will all my info (reviews, profile, etc.) populate the new site?

Yea I noticed that the bros have now disabled us from being able to see our profile now on the "old" site even without logging in. Though im sure everything will be switched over soon...

So I assume that all of our reviews -- which I just tried unsuccessfully to look at -- will be restored, right?

Thanks, BT! These weren't there 10 minutes ago. Obviously A LOT of work currently going on.

Do you really need any of your reviews to carry over other than VVVIIITTTUUUSSS?

    Hahaha, hopsbreath!

Actually, I have been trying to access my reviews for a couple of days. I've been looking for a few of my favorite beers to share with some other people, and was trying to sort my list, so . . . yeah, I guess I do need my other reviews.

So, have you enjoyed the mighty V-brew?

Oh, and note, that it's not my most highly rated beer.

Never have had it actually. Although, I've kept my eyes open for it based exclusively on your preachings. I figure it must be the shit for you pump it up like a Jersey Shore fist. I'll be sure to review it and reference you somewhere in there when I do.

There are plenty of beers out there that are much better than Vitus. The thing about it that has made me pimp it so mercilessly is that it is really quite unique in both its overall flavor and its temperature-related profile: while most bigger beers get simple richer and deeper as they warm and settle, Vitus actually changes flavor with temperature. It's seriously like three beers in one, if you have the patience to drink it slowly. Indeed, the word "unique" doesn't quite do it justice: "weird" might be a better description.

Hey, if it's even remotely in the same ballbark as Aventinus count me as a happy man. No need to temper my anticipation. Pimp it BIG!

So where are you guys putting your old profile info for the new profiles? I don't see a main open area to post all I had in my old profile.

In the About You section on personal details. Unfortunately, it is not the main page of your profile, but there is an information tab and then it will be displayed there. If you want to see where it ends up after you add it, take a look at my profile. I have my PS3 trophy card in there followed by all the info from my old profile page which is trade history.

Ok. That is where I had mine. Wasn't sure if there was a better place. This works though.

One of my all-time best evenings of beer was an on-line Weizenbock tasting several of us B-A's conducted a couple of years ago in a chat-room one of us set up for the occasion in which we drank and commented over a two-hour period on the following line-up:
    Vitus
    Aventinus
    Aged Aventinus
    Ayinger Weizenbock
    Victory Moonglow

The Aged Aventinus came out the winner, but you could have thrown a small hoop over the first three on this list. Still, of this list, the V-brew is certainly the most outside-the-box. Go find some soon: it's not getting any cheaper.
