Trying to come up with a good Ballast Point joke, but failing. Another reason to drink your Piña Colada Sculpin from a can? Nah. Anybody?

I'm shocked it wasn't mentioned earlier, constellation has the problem was the glass bottle company's fault.

That's why they suggest adding a lime; it filters out the glass.

No that's not true, Corona beer in the United States is made in Mexico by Constellation Brands, Corona beer sold in the U.S. is "NOT" owned by AB-Inbev (U.S. Goverment made them sell their rights during the A-B - In Bev merger), they found the issue because they own the brand World Wide (excluding the U.S.) and notified, Constellation Brands of their opportunity. They check the beer because they own the Global rights and have a vested interest in how Constellation Brands sells their beer in the U.S.

I don't like Corona, but I don't mean to denigrate those who do.

And for the people who like Corona, denigrate means "put down"

    Sorry, couldn't resist.

When wine guys take a big bite of "beer" expect something to break.

As part of the separation agreement, In Bev is still producing some of the beer that is sold into the US market until the Nava plant expansion has been completed. That agreement was supposed to end in June of this year I believe, but they have extended it until 2017. If you go to their website and read the announcement it states that this issue happened at the ABI plant. They already had an instance of this occurring a couple of years ago at the Nava plant and wanted to assure everyone that this was not related

Luckily for me there is no bad product here in south/southeast Indiana. It's getting warm out a corona and lime doesn't sound too bad. Cheers!

They did the recall because some of the beers were skunked.

Is the brewery at the Mexico/Texas border fully operational now? I know they were doubling it in size. Would suck for them if the new system was flawed out of the gate.

As noted above by "donspublic" - the recalled bottled beer was not brewed at Constellation's Nava brewery (near the border with Texas) but by ABI Grupo Modelo, nor were the bottles made by Constellation's bottle manufacturing facility, but by a "third party" according to Constellation's Corona Recall website.

In a January, 2016 Press Release announcing the new Mexicali brewery, Constellation added that:
