Corridor distro-ing cans would be pretty much fridge-changing for me, and would significantly cut down on the other hazies I'd buy.

(so many it's pressure from Big Haze that's keeping them from canning)

So, our business plan has always been to open brew pubs instead of a packaging facility. We want you guys to enjoy our beer in our space. Not coming in for a 4 pack and leaving right away. We also have no desire to fight for shelf space at Binny's or at better draft lists.

That being said, the biggest contributing factor to not expanding our canning releases is, space. Space not only for the actual canning process, but storage. We have a very limited window before the restaurant opens to get the beer into the can. Also, due to space mobile canning is not an option.

A close second is the size of our system. 10bbls of Squeezit goes fast. You dedicate 2bbls to cans and it goes EXTREMELY fast! If you have ever seen our brewhouse you will see that there is no possibility of expansion to a larger system. Our growth plan has always been and continues to be to open more brewpubs. Size of our system also leads economy of scale issues. We make no money from the actual cans. We do them as a thank you to our guests who have helped us through the years. We of course hope that as you are waiting to get cans you get lunch, enjoy a pint or three, and take a crowler home.

I know it is frustrating to a lot of people, but we are really trying to do our best so that everyone can enjoy our product from you guys who move the needle on a breweries perception to our neighbors, to someone shopping on the Southport Corridor or going to a Cubs game. Thanks for your support through the years and we hope to keep rockin' and rollin' for another fifty, cheers.

Thanks for the response. Really nice to hear some insight into what you're thinking. I'm all for enjoying your beers on premises, that's for sure. It may not happen as much as I'd like, but I do find myself enjoying the beers most when I'm at your brewpub.

How long do can releases typically last? I was planning on swinging in on May 2nd.

So glad this is their business model. Exactly what I want from my neighborhood watering hole. Just happens to also be a world class maker of hyped up beers.

Stopped in Sunday for a wonderful afternoon on Corridor's patio. Can confirm, Houses of the Hazy is tasting great. It's on the sweeter side and went down real easy while relaxing on the patio. Also had the DDH Pale Ale - Ladder Battle. Enjoyed this one as well as it was little more bitter than the HoH IPA but had a nice fruity finish

Easter isn't typically a big drinking weekend but with the forecast looking beautiful and the Cubs in town I was slightly afraid some of the beer might've been cleaned out. Nope, full menu available.

I guess all the beer nerds were too busy chasing the newest new shiny thing in Phase 3. :stuck_out_tongue::grin:

Thanks for the kind words! Dueling Overalls (DDH Double) release this Thursday and Squeezit on Friday, 5/3. Double Barrel DDH Doubles for everyone’s pleasure.

Nice! I will be able to make the Squeezit release. I’ll be in town for the SOX game. This will be my first visit. Super stoked!

I love Corridor, and these beers are always a great part of my summer, but I'll admit I'm a little sad distribution is mostly getting nixed as a possibility; I drink at home or out of town 95% of the time, so generally I'm drinking what I can get at Binnys or Bitter Pops. I grab crowlers, but my slacker family rarely helps out, and 32 oz. is a bit much for one sitting.

Total agreement. If FR had a new rotation each month rather than the 4/5 they do and Corridor put stuff in distro they would command a larger share of my purchases.

Add in the awkwardness of actually getting a crowler when the bar is full, and I basically never drink Corridor anymore.

However, I totally understand @dubo09 has a business plan that seems to be working well for them, as it seems on-site consumption is more than enough to keep them afloat beer-wise.

I can dream of a day where I walk into a store & buy their tasty beer, though!

Are you guys only going in there on weekends of Cubs games and/or after 7 pm? I hardly ever have a problem, but I avoid any times after 7 since I tend to go in with my kids. I go with my family sometimes for dinner during the week, or we will go for lunch/brunch on the weekends. We tend to have to wait for tables on the weekends if we go during "main" meal times, but it's usually not too long.
