Yeah, I was partially including FR here, which already does do distro. I know it's not as easy as snapping fingers for Corridor, especially because in addition to distribution logistics, they also have space constraints (in terms of quantity they can actually brew).

This weekend would be a good time to go ... 3 hazies on tap today including CJB (i loved Laser Sword but didn't think much of the 6-hop one) ... also recommend the new Sopressata pizza

I get your point, and I think I agree with @croush because I'm still pretty sensitive to that gap between the tiers.

I honestly don't drink all that often, and that's why the ticker mindset clicks so much with me. It's almost always more interesting for me to check out something new and probably on the rare side rather than revisit a beer. If I do bother to go back to a beer it's because I really, really liked it. So to me the increased options don't really matter unless they're hitting that unh unh good tippy top haze knob deep inside, you know?

For you and anyone else still interested, they just posted on IG that they have a few 4-packs left.

After a wonderful visit to the Music Box last night (Disco Godfather is INSANE), I stopped into Corridor. 6 Different Haze was the only New England-style...it was pleasant enough, with bubblegum & honeydew melon notes, but overall it was pretty bland. A far cry from their heyday.

However, they had a British Brown Ale, Grumble, that was true to the style & flavorful. Worth the stop for that one.

Best of all: the soft pretzel. Holy shit, it must have been DRENCHED in butter, but it was incredible. If they could bottle that I'd buy a pony keg.

    Edited for spelling.

I've always thought that conquering a variety of styles was Corridor and Dryhop's strong suit. I notice that most people on BA tend to dismiss Dryhop for some reason, but they are generally doing very similar beers. A lot of times Dryhop has had a better hazy on than Corridor. I really love it when they make a clean, true lager. I'm pretty bored by most of the hazies at this point, and even more bored by the West Coast IPAs they do. I'd also be happy seeing no repeats at Corridor and saying goodbye to Wizard Fight, the only beer I never get when I go there. Dryhop Broyhan was one of my favorite beers of the year a few years back, so fresh and clean and sessionable. The growler prices are still really solid generally, but I wish they would bring back growler Saturday, when they used to do 6 then 7 dollar fills of a selected beer. Great way to move a slow seller out the door too. I wasnt that impressed with Roebuck, the lagers/IPL were sort of mediocre, as was the 10 dollar hazy.

Paid a visit to Corridor’s patio for dinner last night. As usual, food was on point. However, I’m sad to see the (huge) decline in beer. Van Hazen was nothing like its previous iterations. Crushed by Hops, a DDH IPA, barely had the notes/flavors listed in its description. The third beer Sabro Tooth, Pale Ale, was awful. It’s weird all three beers looked exactly the same too even though they were 3 different albeit related styles.

I believe they somewhat recently lost their head brewer and COVID screwed up everything for restaurant/brew pubs. But unfortunately can’t come back until the beer gets figured out. Sucks bc I used to love this place

That's sad to hear; that was one of the regular go-to places for me in 2017. I suspected a few issues once Roger left, but I thought getting Eric over from DryHop might keep things running well for a while. Not sure who's doing the brewing these days, but hope they get it all sorted out.

I don't know anything about the staffing, but remember the ownership group is opening what could only be termed a flagship location given its location off the Mag Mile soon. I would imagine they would be allocating their best people and resources to that given the capital expenditure involved and that they'll come back and fix any issues (whether real or perceived) once they get their footing at Crushed by Giants.

Also, has Corridor been selling beer to go or has stuff just been sitting around for 3 months? That could impact the beer quality.

Pretty sure they were selling beer to go. Also, they only brewed for the first time at Crushed 3 weeks ago or so. So even if they were shuffling people which I don't think they were the beer you're drinking now was brewed 4-6 weeks prior at minimum.

Ive been grabbing crowlers since the lockdown began, not noticing any drop off in quality at all. Their version of Keeping Together was really good.

That is sad. I used to travel to Chitown twice a month for work and would ALWAYS stop by Corridor. At their prime, I would put them up against anyone.....Monkish, TH, Trillium, Bissel Brothers. They more than held their own for IPAs/DIPAs.

I am back! Thanks for the kind words. We have been turning and burning at Corridor since the shut down and we are beginning to see the light. Regardless of what you may have heard, we are not serving 4-6 week old beer (unless it's a lager). We have been doing VERY steady to go business with crowlers which means most hazy offerings have been on for a max of three weeks. Squeezit and Cosmic Juicebox sold out in under two weeks and were some of the best batches we have brewed. I apologize for not monitoring this forum better, but it has been a very hectic four months to say the least. We are here, we are fighting, and we are not going anywhere!

I'm not going to say this made my day, but it did. I'm hoping the opening line isn't as long as the one for the Michigan Ave flagship starbucks opening.
