I got there at 12:05 or so, was...54th, I think? This should be gone very soon.

Yeah. I was impressed by the line, to say the least.

Corridor is handling it well, though.

Honestly, I almost went with crowlers myself; I partially showed up at 12 to support Corridor's first can release.

Doesn't look like they needed my help.

I was 44, so not too far from you.

She was just a few people in front of me. Your kid was well-behaved...not a cartwheel to be seen.

I agree the release was handled well, and it was nice for the wife and I to be able to grab lunch on a day where we were working from home. When I saw the line, I was a bit worried it'd be tough to get a table, but it was no issue.

I was contemplating on fighting Cubs red line traffic and heading up after work. Welp at least I don't have to think about it anymore.

Too late for cans. Damn. *kicks a rock* Guess I'll just have to stoop low and have it fresh on tap.

Missed out on cans obviously, but came in to have a pint and snag a couple crowlers. This batch is as good as ever and continues to wear the crown for the style in this city imo, by a long shot.

Forbidden Root fans would very much challenge your opinion. If you ended the sentence with "imo" I would be more receptive to your statement, but you exposed yourself dearly by ending with "by a long shot."

Grammatically speaking, the imo still applies to the entire sentence. But take it as you will. I like FR as well, but as I've stated plenty on here, I prefer an IPA with a hop bite. Very few FR hoppies have that.

I'll let you in on a secret...he's right.

I get hung up as well with some folks making statements such as that and letting them know it's just their opinion, but that's really what we are all doing on here - stating opinions. I find Corridor's beers to be well ahead of Forbidden Root, but that just means I like them better to my taste. It's all good whichever one you like.

Exactly how I feel. I loved FR's Power Trip, and really liked TORO! too, but OG Squeezit is/was tops for me (although PT is relatively close). Hoping my feelings on these cans is the same as yours.
I actually really like how many people prefer FR, for two reasons:

    1) Because it ensures that neither Corridor nor FR gets completely out of hand.

    2) Because I really like the guys at FR, so even if some of their hazy offerings are a little sweeter than I prefer, I'm happy they're making others really happy.

Thank you to everyone who came out today. We hope everyone enjoys the first can release. Everything went smooth after a minor hiccup in the morning. It was truly an exciting day for us and the culmination of months of planning, sleepless nights, and early mornings. You guys make all the effort worthwhile and it blew my mind to see a line 60 deep today followed by two deep at the bar after purchase. We’ll keep rocking and rolling with support like this, cheers!
