Corridor Brewery & Provisions

Finally got to get here for the Barman's Banquet. Was greeted upon entry with a pint of Van Hazen W&C First from the Nolan and my shot of Old Grandad and Burger followed. Burger was nice and juicy, can see what @SeanBond meant about the cheese but I like a slider type burger so it was okay by me, my cardiologist might have a different opinion but that's what he gets paid for. Lol.

Liking the VH 3. A little cattiness on the nose and a more earthy taste with a little spice note. Still creamy and totally crushable. Oats and wheat give it a nice body. Another quality product from the Corridor Crew. Great staff too.

 

I visited Corridor when they opened, and a few more times. I didn't return for a while because I thought they had bad, slow service (pretentious), and their focus was on Belgian farmhouse ales and sours wasn't my thing. I've been back since they started brewing NEIPAs and think that they have all be good. I do think it's funny that they abandoned their initial mission statement to focus on hazy IPAs.

Still not a go to, even though I live a block away but I think they have improved over all.

 

So I just got back from vacation. I'm embarrassed to ask, but is Squeezit still on?

 

I was there around 6 and it was still on. Van Hazen was pouring as well. Picked up a crowler of both.

 

Depends, did JHH1018 grab another case of crowlers today?

 

Noon Whistle will be pouring the latest version of Gummy Vortex starting Thursday.

I see that Van Hazen is on. I haven't made may way to Corridor yet but plan to this week. How is VH tasting?? Are there any other NEIPAs on?

On a side note. Has there been any announcement on what's coming next week? I'm going to the Billy Joel concert at Wrigley on the 11th. Was planning on popping in for dinner before the show.

 

Squeezit kicked Monday night. Van Hazen is flowing.

 

We are moving a TBD named DDH Pale Ale on Monday.

 

Excellent! Hopefully it'll be around come Friday. Of course the rest of the offerings are delicious as well.

 

Sounds like it needs to be named after a Billy Joel song!

 

Tell Haze About It

 

Went in last night, is it a normal occurrence that they do last call at 10:30 when the website says they are open until midnight?

 

Nice! I'd propose Uptown Haze as well, if Corridor were a little farther north.

 

Actually, something like "Only The Haze/Hops Die Young" would be a good wink at the current worry that these beers don't hold up after 4 days, so I'm on board for that one.
