So I've seen talk about this in other threads but figured it could be its own. My wife got me a Costco advent calendar with 24 16.9oz beers from German brewers. Ill be honest I was very grateful outwardly but inside was a little snobby thinking thats a lot of average beer to drink. Boy was i wrong, I have really been pleased with what I have had so far and I've been checking the reviews on here and they seem to be 85-89 and i concur and a few might have even broken into the 90s in my opinion. And I think its been a nice mix of Helles, Hefe, Weizenbocks, Pilsners, etc. Cheers
I had the same thought process going in but i am finding the beers to be solid with the lagers clean and very quaffable and the ales having the legit yeast strain that lend those wonderful phenolic flavors. Definitely a bargain price and would recommend to my friends!
Totally agree. Nice variety and overall good quality. Would be even better with kolsch and altbier mixed in. Only oddball is the upcoming IPA!
We don’t have that here. In the past we had a German one put together by a company called Kalea. Is that what the Costco one is? I remember It being better than expected.
