Countdown to Juju!

I went to NO first for an IBUsive and Super Juicy Juju, then went to Middleburg at 4, walked by all the clowns waiting outside in line, grabbed a table inside and had a server over within a minute or two. Our server (don't remember her name but haven't seen her before) was fantastic and kept checking on us every few minutes.

The only downside is that we had anywhere from 2-4 people at our table and people constantly asking us if they can sit at our table when it was just 2-3 of us. Some old broad even started bitching to a server that she couldn't get a table. Unbelievable! The place was jam packed (around 5) and this woman acted like she deserved a table more than anyone else. If I had to make a guess, I'd say she wasn't there for the release and should have realized what was going on was an unusual circumstance, but instead she decided to act like a total bitch to the staff. I don't know what she expected a server to do? Kick people out of a table that are enjoying themselves so she can sit down?

 

In my opinion, they should ditch the picnic tables in favor of more high tops.

I also love the picnic tables here, hope they don't change it...

 

People waited outside for an hour? Wut. Grabbed a case at 6pm with 5 minute wait.

Oh well, the beer is good. 2/10 headhunter ain't too shabby either. I have Monday off so gonna hit that IBUsive probably.

Anyone have any idea how much super juju they have? I wanna get a growler filled but can't drink it till the weekend and don't want it to sit in the growler

 

So long as you keep the growler sealed until you're ready to drink it, it should be fine until the weekend. I say go get it now to be safe.

 

Ok sweet I did not know that. I just noticed the beer goes flat kind of quick once I open it. I hardly ever fill growlers so I don't know much about them

 

Yeah you'll be fine. I waited a day and a half to crack my growler of it and it tasted like it was just poured from the tap. I'm on night two of trying to chug through it and it held carbonation pretty well. I'm pretty sure that normal growler fills last a couple of weeks if unopened. So with that being said, I wouldn't risk missing it if you haven't had it. Definitely my favorite IPA.

 

Anyone heading to the KBS release to pick up bottles hit me up if interested in a trade. Never got to try ju ju last year and would love to get my hands on some!

 

Has any Juju been spotted in Columbus yet? I've got a fever and the only thing that can cure it is the Juju. Was just out in Portland last year, and Head Hunter is the closest thing to Pliny I can find in Ohio. Love just about all of Fat Heads hoppy beers but this one is pretty exceptional.
