Another BA told me to post this thread in this forum as well as the south. I am heading to Covington for Halloween, and was looking for some good bottleshops first and foremost. Would like to hear recommendations of a place to grab something to eat with a decent tap list as well. Tried searching for this but didnt find much of anything. I am coming from Pittsburgh. I think I am staying with friends in Cinncinati, but those plans have not been finalized. Hopefully I posted this in the right forum. Thanks in advance Sam
I've ate and drank at the Keystone a few times, and enjoyed it quite a bit. (surprised I didn't review it) http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/19605/view=beerfly
Party Town or Party Source? I think Party Source is closer to Covington. Florence is out by the airport. I've been to Jungle Jim's (awesome, and huge, and amazing for all the stuff they carry in addition to all the beer) and also to Party Source. Both are great, great places with huge selection. for eats, Hofbrau Haus in Newport KY has a nice beer hall and trad German fare.
Check out the ****&Bull English Pub in Covington for a bite to eat and a solid beer list. Edit: Moerlein Lager House in Cincinnati has great food and a good selection of beers as well. As far as the bottle shops: Party Source, Party Town, and Jungle Jims (Fairfield or Eastgate)
Party Source in Newport, right next to Covington will have your best option for different varieties of beer, wine, and spirits.
My dad lives in Burlington, glad to find out about Party Source. I always go to JJ's and PT. Looking forward to Thanksgiving Break!!
DEP's Fine Wine (Ft. Thomas and Covington) typically have some decent growler options. See http://depsfinewine.com/beer/ e.g. Six Point Brown Stone for $6.
as a side note,Jungle Jim's just received their 1st shipment of Oskar Blues products,Dales,Scotch Ale,Ten Fidy, and their Imp IPA
