Is this being brewed this year? and if so when is it being released. Also does anyone know if eastern Washington gets any? or will I have to trade for it.

Releases next Tuesday at the brewery in bottles and on tap.

No clue about Eastern Washington, but I know that Yakima will get some for the Fresh Hop Festival. Snipes Mountain might end up with some on tap as well, they've had it in the past.

Bummed it won't be canned this year. But that's the only thing about this that has me bummed. Love this beer.

Definitely buying a case again. Or two if they'll sell me two.

Damn, looks like a 4 bottle limit. Guess I won't bother if it's only 4.

500 cases - 425 went to distribution. That's a pretty high proportion - annoying as it may be, seems like it should be easy to find in stores. Unfortunately, I need as much as I can grab today so that I can take it to the east coast with me tomorrow. Must spread the legend, ya hear?

The hype of this beer has come a long way in 2 short years :slight_frown:

Stuck at work until 5:30 and then stopping at the brewery on the way home. Those Chicago bastards better not take it all!

The FIB jokes in this forum are great, primarily because everyone in the NW thinks its a joke, but in reality, it is actually completely accurate :sunglasses:

I'll be picking up 4 bottles after work today and sending at least 3 of them as a gift to a BA back East (I don't trade anymore, but occasionally I send people free beer for no apparent reason). I hope to manage to get some more for myself over the next week or so.

It hung around in stores last Fall for a few weeks, shouldn't be a problem.

Only 10 more pages and we can get this thread on par with the Surly Wet thread in the MW forum.
OMG, where is it?! I can't find it!
    It's how much?!
It's not as good as last year!

Yes, but that was before I was aware of the term FIB.

I picked up a case of BBW Porter yesterday. Today it will be fresh hop goodness!

Well, to be fair, there's another thread in here about all the other NW fresh hop beers we can look forward to. And that one also talks about Cowiche.

FIB = ? Urban Dictionary says "Fucking Illinois Bastard." I now get why BA Lansman was all up in arms when he joined our little forum.

Derogatory term in the Great Lakes Forum for 'F**king Illinois Bastards.' Started by folks in Michigan who started having trouble finding local stuff on shelves or at breweries as a perceived result of people from Chicago (and the surrounding area) making trips to Michigan to stock up on limited offerings.

The term is plenty-used amongst non-BA's, been hearing it for years! It's easily one of the most spoken words in Wisconsin.

My apologies for my perceived etymology of FIB. The first I heard of the term was on BA and it seemed to be used primarily by Michigan folks. I am aware that the term is used by other surrounding states and agree that the term could have been / was started elsewhere.
