I'm not sure on the value of BBGBS. I really wanna try it, and I think Chocolate Rain could be on the level. Is this a balanced trade?

BBGBS being bourbon barreled gingerbread stout by Hardywood.

Shouldn't take that much. It usually hangs out on shelves for a few weeks in Richmond. I know they lost part of the batch this past year. So the most recent batch maybe a little harder to come by. I have a buddy in Richmond that sends up Hardywood regularly, so not real sure what the trade value is. He usually just wants locals that he can't get since moving down there. He sent 3 regular and 3 BA GBS this past year.

Main issue here is that this year they lost a ton, due to a mistake at the brewery, as touched on above. Bottle limit was 2 at brewery on release, and very little if any hit distro. That said, I sent two in a trade to a good trade partner, and recently sent another as an extra to a good trade partner that a buddy sold me. I think your trade offer is very realistic, and there are many in RVA who would jump at that. I would definitely try to acquire the most recent batch though, because GBS doesn't age well at all IMO.

CR = ba gbs + x2 gbs + some locals.

GBS is awesome, but if I were you, I'd hang in there for next year. They're going to make a ton since they're in NoVA and DC now, and barring any other catastrophes, the BA version should hit that distro too. I think the non-BA version was better anyways (GBS on nitro might be my favorite of all).

Agree with the last two posts.
    1. GBS is way better fresh. Did '12 & '13 side by side and fresh was way better than aged.
    2. Regular definitely better than BA GBS. Bourbon and barrel really masked a lot of the great flavors in the base beer
